Global business management and ERP software provider Odoo has officially launched its Odoo Education Program in the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) region. Driven by a dedicated team based in Odoo’s Australian office, the initiative is designed to help university lecturers and professors bridge the gap between academia and the real business world.
The Odoo Education Program offers comprehensive resources and practical support to universities, allowing educators to seamlessly integrate Odoo into specialised courses such as Business Management, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, and Human Resources.
Key features of the Odoo Education Program
24 Months of Free Access
Odoo offers educators and students 24 months of free access to Odoo Online. This allows them to build customised databases with unlimited apps and users, creating mock companies to test real-world applications in Odoo eCommerce, Inventory, Project Management, Accounting, and more.
Comprehensive Workshops
The Odoo Education Program team in Australia is available to deliver both online and onsite workshops tailored to specific industry topics, including ERP & Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, and eCommerce. These sessions provide students with foundational knowledge through case studies and practical exercises.
'Scale Up' Business Game
An interactive business simulation card game where students can establish mini-companies and experience different job roles—such as managing retail operations via the Point of Sale (POS) module, building eCommerce websites, and handling logistics.
Odoo University Course
To assist educators in implementing Odoo in the classroom, Odoo provides an extensive library of online resources, documentation, hands-on exercises, and case studies covering ERP fundamentals.
Strategic Partnership with
La Trobe University
Coinciding with the regional launch, Odoo has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a partnership with La Trobe University. This partnership aims to equip students with practical business software skills through interactive workshops and real-life case studies, paving the way for successful careers.
In addition to interactive workshops, the partnership offers students and faculty members free access to comprehensive training materials on all Odoo Online applications to support academic activities at La Trobe University.
“The integration of Odoo into the MBIS program bridges the gap between theory and practice by allowing students to engage with real enterprise workflows across multiple business functions. This hands-on experience helps prepare graduates to confidently navigate and contribute to modern digital organisations,”
Harsha Kumara Moraliyage
Course Coordinator, Master of Business Information Systems at La Trobe University
Meet Our Education Program Team
“University is all about preparing students for the real world, and by getting hands-on experience with an ERP system, students will be doing just that.
Thanks to the user-friendly nature of Odoo, students will be able to gain experience with real-world tools from just one day of using it. The more knowledge and experience students have with what systems are out there, the better equipped they’ll be for their futures.”
Nicholas Champion, Learning and Development Officer at Odoo
